Weekly Horoscopes 11/27- 12/3, 2017
Hi kids!!! It’s terrific to have you back at Mr. Saturn’s Stars!!! The Holidays are officially under way, but before we begin with this week’s horoscopes I would like to share some things that have been on my mind.
First, has anyone ever noticed that the letters in Santa can be rearranged to spell Satan? What’s that about? Furthermore, Santa is this old man who traditionally encourages little children to sit on his lap. You think all this #metoo stuff is going to catch up with Kris Kringle the way it has with seemingly every other older white guy in power? I mean he’s already been caught kissing Momma underneath the mistletoe more than once. I would also bet that no matter what he does or how many accusers come forward, there will still be people who’ll leave cookies and milk out for him on Christmas Eve. What a world, huh?
I got nothin…
Aries- The angst you’ve been feeling lately is going to make it very difficult to control yourself this week as volatile Mars in your House of Relationships moves closer to a frustrating opposition with erratic Uranus. Mr. Saturn and Mercury will try to talk some sense into you, although what they’ll have to say may be more about what you’re secretly afraid of rather than the kind of pep talk you’d prefer to hear. The Sun in Sagittarius moving into a square with Neptune won’t help matters much, especially over the weekend when they both form a hallucinatory T-square with the Full Moon in Gemini. Let the illusions begin! Jupiter in trine with Neptune will try to introduce some compassion into this never-ending therapy session, so try having a little forgiveness for your self. As Mr. Saturn would say,
How much of our fear
Is simply the learning curve
For finding our strength?
Taurus- As the Moon passes through your sign this week stability will be at the forefront of your concerns. Letting go of unreasonable fears associated with being unstable will also be a challenge as Mars and Uranus move closer to a very testy opposition in your Houses of Hidden Feelings and Daily Routines. Saturn conjunct with a Mercury Station/Retrograde should give you fresh eyes with which to look at an old problem that could appear over the weekend as a Sagittarius Sun opposes a Full Moon in Gemini and both of them square Neptune in your House of Dreams. A Jupiter/Neptune aspect in psychic Scorpio and sensitive Pisces respectively could help you finally understand that what you’re currently faced with is not an old problem haunting you, but rather a new you trying to break free of old misconceptions. Mr. Saturn’s advice?… Breathe.
Gemini- Mr. Saturn conjunct with a Mercury Station/Retrograde in your House of Relationships along with erratic Uranus opposing Mars could have you jumping to all sorts of conclusions about how you’ll never find the right person to have a storybook relationship with. The worst case scenario here is that the Gemini Full Moon squaring Neptune over the weekend will find you laying at the bottom of yourself like a forgotten prisoner in a Third World jail. Of course this isn’t true, but the only way you’ll get to that light at the end of the tunnel is to embrace life rather than withdraw from it. A Jupiter/Neptune trine will be there to help with your healing if you’re willing, so, as Mr. Saturn bangs some hopeful chords on the piano the song he’s singing is for you…”When you’re alone and life is making you lonely you can always go…Downtown!”
Cancer- The world under your feet is shifting like the undertow at the beach, yet remember you are a crab and your nature has always been able to survive in the turbulent surf. As a crustacean you can seem tough on the outside but you are really soft on the inside, so make sure you are taking care of yourself emotionally during this very challenging time. Or I should say let someone else take care of you for once. A loving and sensitive Jupiter/Neptune trine would suggest that you are on the verge of a new sense of purpose in life, although don’t think you will discover this inspiration by digging for it. Let it come to you like the waves that always find the shore. Mr. Saturn’s haiku this week is for you….<3
“If I seek knowledge
Perhaps it’s there, if it finds
Me the truth is here
Leo- The pressure for you this week will be between what needs to be done as opposed to what you’d like to do. With the Sun, Mercury, and Mr. Saturn all in your House of Creativity and Uranus in your House of Philosophy, you’re brimming with great ideas and have lots of energy to express your self. However, with the coming Full Moon in Gemini ready to square Neptune and oppose the Sun, as well Mercury about to go Station/Retrograde, you may just feel a need to defer your desires and put someone else first. Just make sure this someone is worthy of your sacrifice. Your natural leadership skills and compassion make you an easy mark for manipulators who like to play the victim and there’s someone like that in your life now. Mr. Saturn would suggest, “Take this time to look deep within yourself to decide what you really want, although make sure you don’t wind up sticking your head up your ass in the process.”
Virgo- With Mr. Saturn and Mercury going through your House of Foundations you have been in the midst of reconstructing your life for a while now. Mars opposing Uranus in your money houses (specifically earnings and shared resources respectively) are making you anxious regarding the investments you’ve made as of late in both time and money. Realize though that the transformation you’re hoping for may not be able to fully come about until you’re willing to stand up to a contradictory (or even controlling) partner and take charge of a situation that was originally your idea. This will be highlighted when the Sun, the Full Moon in Gemini, and Neptune all align in a tense T-square involving your Houses of Public Image, Home, and Relationships. Mr. Saturn would suggest that right now the obstacles facing you are not the undetermined external factors around your ultimate goal, but rather your own confidence (or lack thereof) about what you deserve.
Libra- Mars in your sign has been pushing you forward, but an opposition from Uranus in Aries has been dealing you one unexpected obstacle after another. At the same time Saturn and Mercury in Sagittarius have been teaching you some invaluable lessons and helping you to grow. When Mercury goes Station/Retrograde at the end of the week you should take the time to consider if you have been making all the changes you really need to. Jupiter in your House of Earnings is a blessing and Venus joining the Sun in Sagittarius should add an air of optimism, however the Full Moon in Gemini squaring Neptune to end the week might leave you feeling a little worried regarding your future prospects. Saturn inching toward Capricorn at the lowest point in your chart is certainly a downer, so expect your energy and optimism to be low for the next couple of weeks. Mr. Saturn would say that your life now is kind of like the sixties song, “California Dreaming,” sad words with a snappy melody, the point being that you keep dancing in the rain like Gene Kelly until things get better.
Scorpio- Jupiter in your sign aligning with Neptune is making you feel more vulnerable than you’d like right now, however, understand this isn’t about you being weak. Instead it’s about realizing that the true nature of strength is when you can allow yourself to be honest in your feelings without beating yourself up. Mars opposing Uranus could be creating a lot of frustration over a situation that’s beyond your control, although again the thing to understand here is that your frustration isn’t changing anything as the world turns. Saturn in your House of Self Worth is enhancing this tendency to beat yourself up, so when the Full Moon squares Neptune over the weekend don’t be surprised when Mr. Saturn takes you down memory lane and queues up the old Animals hit, “I’m just a soul whose intentions are good… Oh Lord!.. please don’t let me be misunderstood…”
Sagittarius- Mr. Saturn’s stay in your sign will be over in approximately three weeks and then you’ll be good for another 28 years. In the meantime though he is going to make sure that you learn every lesson you possibly can. Mercury going Station/Retrograde in your sign during this period will further intensify Mr. Saturn’s tutorial, while at the same time a Mars/Uranus opposition will serve to inspire your usual resistance when you’re confronted with having to do anything you don’t want. A Jupiter/Neptune trine followed by Neptune squaring the Full Moon in your House of Relationships over the weekend should cap this off as a perfect week to simply blame everything on your doppelganger, after all, you’ve never met him or her.
Capricorn- You are a resilient sign, however, with Uranus camped out at the bottom of your chart for the last few months it has kind of been been like skateboarding down a gravel incline. Mercury retrograde in your House of Secrets for the next 3 weeks may not be much fun either as you attempt to solve a mystery where you are both the victim and the perpetrator. It won’t take Sherlock Holmes or Phillip Marlowe to figure out this one though; the obvious arch villain here is responsibility. The good news though is that Jupiter trine Neptune will help you solve this case and forgive yourself in the process! There might even be a reward as well, specifically enough self-love to get you out of the “Town Without Pity” you’ve been stuck in. After a Film Noir week like this, the tendency would be to have a spree. Fair enough, but with a Gemini Full Moon squaring Neptune to end the week Mr. Saturn would advise having Ray Donovan on speed dial…just sayin’.
Aquarius- With Jupiter in your House of Public Image aligning with Neptune in your House of Self Worth you are bound and determine to establish your legend. A Mars/Uranus opposition combined with a Saturn/Mercury pairing will further motivate you to put on a sandwich board, bang a drum, and toot a horn to try and draw as much attention to yourself as possible, but to what end? Be careful when the Sun squares Neptune that you don’t start believing your own hype, because when those two pull up to form a stressful T-square with the Full Moon over the weekend you may wind up crying the “Tears of a Clown” all by yourself. When Mercury goes retrograde over the weekend as well he won’t hesitate to say “I told you so” as you learn “self-worth” and “the approval of others” are not the same thing. Mr. Saturn is cueing up a song now, check out the lyrics…”When the truth is found to be lies and all the joy within you dies…Don’t you want somebody to love?”
Pisces- Your ruling planet is Neptune, the God of the Sea, who symbolizes both illusion and higher consciousness. In other words, sometimes you have to do something really stupid in order to learn anything at all. Jupiter in your House of Philosophy aligning with Neptune could help you realize this about yourself so that hopefully you’ll wise up and stop taking for granted someone you depend on. A Mars/Uranus opposition going on in your Money Houses while Mercury slows down to a Station/Retrograde will also be forcing you to re-examine your financial responsibilities. In short, this week will seem like you’re stuck in a hall of mirrors so that no matter where you turn you can only see yourself. How long it takes for you to realize your immaturity will be, as Frank Zappa once said, “The crux of the biscuit.” In the meantime, Mr. Saturn is going to wax nostalgic with some Beatles…”the Love you take is equal to the Love you make…”
Weekly Horoscopes for 11/20-11/26, 2017
Hi Kids!!! Great to see you back!!! The Holiday Season officially begins this week with the arrival of Thanksgiving on Thursday. In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, the photo for this week’s horoscopes is of a Turkey in a cemetery. Mr. Saturn (along with his good buddy Siddhartha) chose this particular photograph in order to make a point; namely, can we really enjoy our celebrations if we know they are based on the suffering of another living being?
It’s an annual tradition for the POTUS to pardon one Turkey every year at Thanksgiving as a sort of joke about the process of government, however, since our current government has pretty much been a non-stop joke I think anyone who’s truly concerned about saving even a single Turkey this year will have to start at home. So, with that in mind, Go Vegan and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Aries- As the Sun exits Scorpio and enters Sagittarius, your optimism should come inching back like the first rays of sunshine that appear after a thundershower. With Mercury and Saturn also in Sagittarius and combining with Uranus, your previously forlorn inquiries of, “Why?” will no doubt be replaced by the rebellious mantra of “why not?” Add to this a transcendent aspect between Venus in Scorpio and Pluto in your House of Career and anything that was stalled or in limbo as of late should now be, “all systems go.” The arc of the Moon through your Public sphere and House of Dreams will reiterate this theme as Mr. Saturn does his best Jim Morrison imitation, “We want the world and we want it…..now?…..NOW!!!!!!!!!!”
Taurus- This could be a very enlightening week for you. Uranus in your House of the Subconscious has been like an itch you can’t scratch for some time, but now with Saturn and Mercury coming together in your House of Transformation you might finally be able to start redirecting some of that anxiety you’ve been experiencing into something much more constructive and creative. This transcendental energy will be significantly amped up by a Moon/ Pluto conjunction in your House of Philosophy as it works with Venus in the House of Death and resurrection, thereby allowing you to let go and move with flow. To quote one of Mr. Saturn’s favorite Philosopher’s, “If you don’t like what you’re doing, you can always pick up your needle and move to another groove.”
Gemini- The Lunar Arc this week will highlight how you are evolving in terms of your behavior in relationships. As the Moon begins in Sagittarius and then moves through Capricorn into Aquarius, your perspective will change quite dramatically from one of simply reacting to what another person does, to instead taking responsibility for your role in the overall situation. The final step will be when you realize that the baggage you bring into a relationship does not have to be the baggage you leave with. A harmonious interaction between Pluto and Venus will be instrumental in helping you resurrect a new sense of self-love, especially since someone you cared deeply about has failed to treat you with the respect you deserve. Mr. Saturn’s haiku this week is for you.
“No one has broken
My heart, but I’ve certainly
Dropped it a few times”
Cancer- With Venus and Jupiter moving through your House of Children, any issues that currently exist between you and your offspring could begin to change for the better. Pluto in your House of Relationships is suggesting that letting go may be the key to dealing with what is actually happening between you and this person. Try your best to curb any expectations you might have and let this individual learn a lesson on their own. Furthermore, make sure you’re not struggling to hold onto something that is destined to change. This is especially true when it comes to your own circumstances. Perhaps trusting yourself instead of worrying that you might screw up royally is the secret ingredient that will unlock you from past traumas and give you a much needed dose of hope. At this point Mr. Saturn would like to share a quote from Gurdjieff, “Two things have no limit: the stupidity of man and the mercy of God.”
Leo- Mercury and Mars could bring you a flash of inspiration to start the week but it won’t mean squat unless you follow it up with action. Mars will also square Pluto, which could mean that you’ll allow frustration to substitute as a form of action in order to hide your fear of failure; kind of like revving a car engine, sounds fast and everyone looks, but it’s going nowhere. You definitely need to lighten up a bit and to that end Pluto and Venus will try to get you to let your hair hang down and kick off your shoes (no, not in your living room). Crazy ol’ Uranus will also try everything in his power to get curmudgeonly old Mr. Saturn to relax curfew so that you and Mercury the Trickster can go “On the Road” like Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarity. All that’s left to say at this point is, “Don’t bogart that joint.”
Virgo- Mr. Saturn say’s, “Rebellion is often about giving away your power just so you can take it back,” which is the perfect way to believe you’re doing something when in fact you’re actually doing nothing other than passive-aggressively resisting what you think someone else wants you to do. The problem for you at this point is that this sort of negative reinforcement essentially leaves you with nothing but your own whining…ouch! You’re hurting now and you’re vulnerable, so let the person you’ve been dishonest with see that. Of course you realize that person you’ve been conning is looking back at you in the mirror? The Lunar Arc for you this week is about taking responsibility for that doppelganger you somehow think isn’t really you. Yet if that’s the case, then who the hell are you? That’s the most important thing you have to think about right now. Word!!!
Libra- With the Sun, Mercury, and Mr. Saturn all in your House of Communications this week, as well as Mars sitting right in the middle of your sign, it is absolutely important for you to get the message out that you’re ready and available for whatever is next on the career front. Venus and Jupiter in your House of Earnings along with Pluto at the bottom of your chart should provide a much needed upswing in finances, especially if some unexpected expenses have recently turned your pockets inside out. The Lunar Arc across the bottom of your chart at midweek will combine a pathologically responsible Capricorn Moon with Pluto, motivating you to persevere in doing what you feel is right, regardless. Mr. Saturn would agree, as well as suggest you consider the words of William Blake, “If the fool would persist in his folly he would become wise.”
Scorpio- At the beginning of the week you will feel compelled to treat yourself to a luxury you haven’t had in a while or maybe even a vacation. Venus and Jupiter in your sign working with Pluto and Neptune respectively would indicate there will be a strong romantic element behind this compulsion, either because of a new beau in your life or because your “Spidey-sense” is drawing you toward a potential affair with a mysterious stranger. Don’t hesitate to make these reservations for whatever you desire because during the Capricorn Moon midweek you could end up feeling guilty and reconsider the practicality of indulging yourself. By the time an Aquarius Moon arrives on the weekend you will be riding the wave again, so don’t be surprised when the bartender delivers you a drink at your favorite watering hole and then points to Mr. Saturn in his Ray-ban’s standing at the end of the bar.
Sagittarius- Ruled by Philosophical and Expansive Jupiter, Sagittarius is a sign of visions and ideas, yet with a pair of nuts and bolts planets like Mercury and Saturn now in your sign (along with Uranus in your House of Creativity and Mars in your House of Dreams) this is a time when you will not only be the “concept” person, but also the Technician, Draughtsman, and Auteur as well. Venus and Jupiter in your House of the Subconscious and Pluto in your House of Self Worth are not only furnishing you with inspiration, but more importantly these planets are also seeding a new appreciation of self that will be key to manifesting the next level of your evolution. As the Sun enters your sign midweek, prepare to start feeling like anything is possible if you set your mind to it, which is a far cry from former pity party’s when you were whining about how tired you felt and how hard everything was. As Mr. Saturn say’s,
“We feel entitled
To each moment but then let
Them collect like dust.”
Capricorn- In Alchemy a catalyst surrenders itself to the process. After a fire there is ash (and maybe a Phoenix rising) but no more fire. This is your time to burn; it ‘s not about what you’ll lose, but what you’ll become. With Mars in your House of Career, Pluto in your sign, and Venus and Jupiter in your House of Dreams, it’s time to give yourself over to your inspirations. As long as what you’re doing is a Labor of Love (and it should be with Jupiter moving into a trine this week with Neptune in your House of Communication) then sacrifice yourself like a candle does to both the flame and the darkness. The Moon conjunct Pluto in your sign midweek will be of paramount importance to any creative work you’re doing now because this aspect is all about letting go and we all know how hard it is for you to do that. Mr. Saturn would suggest that you let “The Medium be the Massage.”
Aquarius- An important question to be asking your self now is, why do I want to succeed so much at this point in my life? You’re certainly driven, but who (or what) is piloting the bus? Venus in your House of Public Image wants to be loved and Mars in your House of Philosophy is “The Seeker” looking high and low. Meanwhile, Mercury in the House of Groups is working the room, yet it’s Pluto connecting with all of them from your Subconscious that might suggest this could be something pathological. There are two types of control issues, needing to be the center of attention or needing to be alone and neither of them is ever really free from negotiating someone else’s approval. Hmmm… Maybe the ongoing trine between Saturn (authority) and Uranus (rebellion) is turning you into your parents…. As Mr. Saturn listens to all this he can’t help but think of a song lyric, “He took a face from the Ancient Gallery and he walked on down the hall…” The End.
Pisces- Venus and Jupiter in your House of Philosophy and Pluto in your House of Dreams are providing the rationale for your “Manifest Destiny”, yet it is Mars in your House of Legacies that’s going to make you wake up and smell the coffee. Mr. Saturn in your House of Public Image is determining your existence in the same way that Mr. Burns ultimately owned Homer Simpson’s life and all the screaming outrage from Uranus in your House of Self Worth won’t change that fact. Keeping that in mind, now let’s take another look at Pluto in your House of Dreams. Pluto rules transformation so perhaps everything you think you want is not so much about you getting it, but instead discovering something important about yourself by how you negotiate the obstacles that rise up to deny you. Mr. Saturn would say, “Knowledge like that is worth a million bucks!”
Weekly Horoscopes 11/13-11/19, 2017
Hi kids!!! Glad y’all could make it back this week to Mr. Saturn’s Stars.
“For those who have an intense urge for spirit and wisdom, it sits near them waiting. -Patanjali
Aries- You could really be torn this week between your head and your heart. A part of you knows you need to compromise, yet another part of you is still driven by the fear of possibly losing your independence and, ultimately, yourself. Part of the problem here is looking at your vulnerability as weakness when it is actually strength. Mars and the Moon in your House of Relationships squaring Pluto will bring out your ingrained patterns and fear, while a Venus/Jupiter conjunction combined with Neptune represents the Mystic in you that can’t be repressed. Over the weekend a Scorpio New Moon inconjunct Uranus in your sign should bring you a Satori experience as you rise like the Phoenix from the ashes. Mr. Saturn’s haiku this week is yours;
“A candle exists
To be consumed by both the
Flame and the darkness”
Taurus- A wise guy once said, “There is no freedom without responsibility, and for each of us the rest of the world represents responsibility.” Venus and Jupiter in your House of Partnerships would suggest that compromise with a colleague or roommate is key and idealistic Neptune would concur. On the other hand, Mars squaring Pluto has you feeling like any infringement on your comfort zone would be like an invasion by a barbarian horde. What did Nietzsche say? “Whatever doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.” Even though erratic Uranus in your House of Hidden Fears has you hyperventilating, Mr. Saturn is trying to remind you that any difficulty you face resulting from a choice made of your own free will is a blessing. Why? Because it will allow you to make another choice if you don’t like the way things turn out, and that, my dear, is freedom!
Gemini- Mercury squaring Neptune to start the week could reveal how a partner has deceived you. The arc of the Moon over the remainder of the week will then in turn outline how you should deal with the situation. The Moon and Mars in Libra squaring Pluto will have you seething, and Mercury with Mars will make you want to rip this person a new orifice. However, the Moon in Scorpio midweek along with Venus and Jupiter will try to convince you to take the highroad and think about your healing rather than revenge. The New Moon over the weekend should offer some insight about this unraveling of events, especially when you realize this isn’t the first time this person has misled you. As the Moon finishes the week in Sagittarius squaring Neptune, Mr. Saturn would advise, “make sure your sadness hasn’t sentenced you to the same gallows that your betrayer should be swinging from.”
Cancer- The Moon beginning the week at the bottom of your chart will have you wrapped up in family and home matters. A situation is changing and as the saying goes, “Time and tide wait for no one.” With Mercury squaring Neptune, try not to blame yourself too much for your role in something that was inevitable. When the Moon meets up with Venus and Jupiter in your House of Creativity and they all get some visionary help from Neptune, you should finally see (and feel) the bigger picture. Mars and Mercury should provide a further burst of energy and before long you’ll likely be humming to yourself that horribly contagious song, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” The New Moon over the weekend inconjunct Uranus will bring on some unexpected developments but hey, don’t worry, if you just stop humming that stupid song Mr. Saturn will probably agree to lend you a helping hand.
Leo- With a Venus/Jupiter conjunction, the Sun, and the Moon all in Scorpio this week you will be in a reflective mood regarding your roots. Combine this with the fact that Neptune is in your House of Legacies and the stage is all set for a little Freudian Chess. Why do you do what you do? What will be your next move? Mars in Libra squaring Pluto will bring all your unexplainable frustrations to the forefront, while at the same time Uranus in your House of Philosophy will want to rebel when Mr. Saturn tells you to put away your toys. At some point all this righteousness (and fear) about your independence could suddenly turn into a long forgotten memory of a little child fearing to say “no” for the first time: Hmmm, interesting….. Mr. Saturn say’s, “your time is up, but for next week you should think about who that little child is currently saying “no” to; could it be you?
Virgo- Mr. Saturn at the bottom of your chart has been a good disciplinary influence as of late, but then along comes Mercury the Trickster with a hip flask of Neptunian escapism and there you go right into the gutter. What were you thinking of? The Moon and Mars in your House of Self worth squaring Pluto have brought up some old patterns of powerlessness and rebellion. It’s a shame that you haven’t figured out yet that rebellion is essentially the paradox of giving your power away so you can feel strong and righteous by taking it back. Therapy would be helpful, but this time you have probably bitten off your nose to spite your face. There will be a price to pay for your blunder and it will probably end up costing you a great relationship. Even Mr. Saturn is sad about this one.
Libra- This week begins with a lot of energy for you as both Mars and the Moon are together in your sign. At the same time Mercury and Neptune will form a mutable square in your Communication and Work areas, so get ready for a period of confusion or misdirection either on the job or while you’re running some errands. Venus, Jupiter, and the Sun all in your House of Earnings could bring a unique income opportunity, especially since the Sun is inconjunct Uranus. Mars will move into a square with Pluto and a sextile to Mercury later in the week, which means if you can stay cool you’ll probably manage to turn around a tense situation by either saying or doing the right thing at the right time. Even Mr. Saturn will say, “Well done!”
Scorpio- With Mars behind the scenes, Mercury hustling for advancement, and Pluto driving you ever onward, this could be a week of some real accomplishment for you. Venus, Jupiter, and the Sun in your sign along with Neptune in your House of Charm are all making you a real magnet in both work and play. Mr. Saturn has been keeping your books for a while and his influence has allowed you to really consolidate your resources so that you can forge ahead into some new places, both within yourself and professionally. Uranus in your House of Routines has been making things hectic and perhaps you haven’t been taking as good care of yourself as you should. The New Moon over the weekend should see you resting and coming to grips with the fact that you’re not immortal. ”At least not until the work week starts again,” say’s Mr. Saturn.
Sagittarius- Mr. Saturn has been trying to tell you, “Luck is not about what you do, it’s about who you are.” As the week unfolds this little bit of wisdom will be illustrated for you by the developing planetary transits. First, Venus and Jupiter conjunct in your House of the Subconscious would symbolize the seed for luck. Second, Mercury squaring Neptune in your House of Foundations would symbolize the illusions you harbor about all that you feel you need to do to be accepted. Third, Mars in your House of Hopes and Dreams represents your frustration as it squares Pluto in your House of Earnings. The New Moon in Scorpio over the weekend will then combine all of this into an illuminating catharsis as it inconjuncts Uranus in your House of Creativity and everything comes full circle back to Mr. Saturn sitting there with annoying calm and reminding you, “I told you so.”
Capricorn- What does the Taoist concept of Non-action mean? Mr. Saturn would explain it like this; “When there is a solo in a piece of orchestral music everyone except the soloist stops playing. The musicians who are not playing can then be said to be practicing non-action because that’s what the composition called for.” After a significant pause, Mr. Saturn would then add, “Take this to heart my cloven hoofed friend.” With Venus and Jupiter currently conjunct in Scorpio in your House of Groups, it’s not about doing anything but being patient and going with the flow. At the start of the week Mercury behind the scenes squaring Neptune will make you anxious and Mars squaring Pluto will drive you to overcompensate, but stay cool. When Mercury eventually joins together with Mars the conductor will point to you to solo. The New Moon over the weekend will then make an esoteric connection with Uranus to reveal a surprise and then you’ll understand what all this non-action stuff really means.
Aquarius- As a fixed air sign you’re convinced that you’re always right regarding just about everything. If it turns out that you’re wrong, you’ll usually just incorporate the correct info into a modified point of view as though that’s what you said in the first place. Mercury squaring Neptune at the beginning of the week will start this flip-flopping process, but when Mars squares Pluto you’ll once again be found trying to put the proverbial egg back in its shell or tell us the rain isn’t really wet. The truth will eventually surface when Mercury connects with Mars, although over the weekend as the New Moon does its hoodoo with Uranus and uses the glamour of Venus and Jupiter to its advantage, once again you will be convinced that you’ve fooled everyone. Everyone that is except Mr. Saturn, who will be muttering under his breath, “Jive Turkey!”
Pisces- This should be a whirlwind week for you as Mercury crosses your Public House and you overbook yourself and bite off more than you can possibly chew. Don’t expect any sympathy though as others will take you at your word and then be ticked off when you can’t deliver. Part of the problem is that you only hear what you want to and then assume the truth is someone else’s responsibility. The arc of the Moon won’t enlighten you much this week as it goes from charming Libra to ruthless Scorpio and then into oblivious Sagittarius. Nevertheless you will be unsinkable as Venus and Jupiter trine Neptune for luck and the New Moon creates a spell with Uranus to confuse matters and help you make a clean getaway. In the aftermath of it all, Mr. Saturn will be shaking his head as he comments, “You were lucky this time, but don’t try that sh*t ever again.”
Weekly Horoscopes for 11/6-11/12, 2017
Hi Kids! Mr. Saturn’s glad to see you back. It’s time again to turn back the clocks, so for all you early risers out there it’s now going to be dark in the morning as well as when you get home. Not exactly “30 Days of Night,” but not very uplifting either. Make sure you order some extra Vitamin D-3 online. But hey, take heart; the Spring Equinox is only 135 days away! Doesn’t that make you feel better? Quoth the Raven, “Eh, not really.”
Aries- With Mercury entering Sagittarius to start the week you could be feeling in the mood for something exotic, which could mean either a trip to a faraway land or (more likely) a flirtation with someone who’s from a much different background than you. Either way, with Jupiter and Venus in Scorpio coming into alignment with Neptune there could be a lot more here than you realize and it could become quite habit forming. Perhaps there’s a Professional angle to this as well, in so far as you’ve become so addicted to work you’ve forgotten how to “turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream.” Mr. Saturn and Uranus will also be in exact alignment this week, so regardless if this other person makes you feel young again or a grown-up at last, remember, age is just a number.
Taurus- Early in the week a Cancer Moon will align with Jupiter, Venus, and Neptune making you about as mushy as you’ve felt in a long time. Mercury entering Sagittarius will have you wanting to verbally express this by saying “Namaste” to everyone you meet, but try to refrain from over-indulging in the rhetoric of love and instead perform some sincere and thoughtful acts of kindness for those around you. Later in the week when a Leo Moon aligns with Uranus and Mr. Saturn, expect surprises from either a family member or a roommate. Don’t hesitate to express your true feelings in this situation, regardless if that means being nice or not and depending of course on whether this person turns out to be a charming flake or just a flake.
Gemini- With the Sun transiting your House of Health this could be a good time to begin a regimen geared toward a new you. This could mean starting a detox, going to a spa, or just giving up something you know isn’t good for you. Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio aligning with Neptune in your Public Sphere and a Cancer Moon mid-week would suggest that any effort you make now to change something you don’t like about yourself could end up bringing some truly satisfying results. Mr. Saturn in your House of Relationships, along with Uranus and a Leo Moon in your House of Communications, would suggest you start to think about starting a group for a project you’ve been fantasizing about. Perhaps this could be an alternative career developing, who knows?
Cancer- The arc of the Moon this week will be an emotional rollercoaster for you, however, take heart, you’re strapped in your seat tightly so no matter how steep the drop looks you won’t fall out. By the time midweek arrives and the Moon enters Leo, Mars in your Home sector will provide all the energy necessary to battle through the frustration of renovations or a messy home project. As Mercury in Sagittarius approaches a square to Neptune, you could be required to deal with some real stupidity in the workplace. All you can do is grin and bear it and try not to let anyone see you clenching your fists in your pockets. Venus and Jupiter in your House of Romance over the weekend will be a hot couple, so let Mr. Saturn suggest an excellent wine to relax with.
Leo- With the Sun, Venus, and Jupiter all in your House of Home and Family, this would be an auspicious time to reach out to a relative who would be thrilled to hear from you. Mercury in your House of Creativity working with Mars in Libra would suggest that you could inadvertently have the solution for a difficulty they’re going through. Try not to procrastinate too much before reconnecting with them though, or something could happen and you’ll feel guilty for not having helped. With Pluto lingering in your House of Health you should be careful about neglecting any sort of physical discomfort you may be experiencing. Now might be the time to go for that check-up you’ve been putting off. Expertly brandishing his stethoscope, Mr. Saturn say’s, “turn your head and cough.”
Virgo- When the Moon enters Cancer early in the week and squares Mars in your House of Earned Income, you will be feeling like you need more out of life. At the same time Jupiter and Venus together in Scorpio working with Neptune could bring you an unexpected opportunity through a partner or relative. As Mercury in Sagittarius approaches a square to Neptune make sure to ask some practical questions about any situations you’re presented with. This person may mean well, but make sure you know what you’re getting into. When Uranus, the planetary archetype of surprises and accidents aspects cynical Mr. Saturn, he will feel compelled to remind you, “If a situation seems too good to be true, it probably is.”
Libra- With Mars in your sign, Mercury in your House of Communication, and a Cancer Moon passing through your House of Career, you will be feeling more concerned about your public image than ever before. Especially since you’re wondering why some very good work you’ve been doing as of late has ended up going unnoticed. With this in mind, Mr. Saturn in your House of Writing and Uranus in your House of Partnerships may be trying to tell you to start targeting a different audience if your current milieu isn’t supporting you. Meanwhile, Venus and Jupiter in your House of Earnings could bring an opportunity for some easy cash from an unexpected source. As Mr. Saturn would say, “It’s money they have and peace they don’t,” so if you can truly make someone feel better (and you can) then that is certainly worth whatever they think it is.
Scorpio- There are snakes that possess the ability to hypnotize their prey before killing them, which is exactly the kind of charm you have right now with both Venus and Jupiter approaching a conjunction in your sign. As Mercury in your House of Earnings is fueled by Mars from behind the scenes, opportunities should be in abundance for you this week as well, although the trick to capitalizing on these situations might have more to do with what you’re willing to give up than with what you desire. This is not a moral dilemma, but a matter of enlightenment. With that in mind, Mr. Saturn’s haiku this week is for you;
“Good or Evil? The
Speed of Darkness is equal
To the Speed of Light”
Sagittarius- Mercury entering your sign should bring on a very busy week for you, especially with Mars in your House of Groups making it seem as if everyone needs your help. The arc of the Moon this week will begin in your House of Shared Resources, at which point it will trine a Venus/Jupiter conjunction as well as Neptune in your Home Area. You have a kind and compassionate heart and this aspect will accentuate it even more, meaning you could very well be taken advantage of yet again by a whiner or a bully. Late in the week when the Moon pulls into Leo and aspects Mars, you may finally find the chutzpah to tell these users off. As inspiration to prepare for standing up to these jerks, Mr. Saturn would suggest checking out the film “Network,” particularly the part where the character of Howard Beale losses his sh*t on the air…. “I’m mad as hell and I’m not gonna take it anymore!”
Capricorn- It is said, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” A loose Grand Trine involving The Moon in Cancer, Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio, and Neptune in Pisces in the Houses governing your Relationships, Groups, and Communication, would speak to you meeting some sort of karmic partner this week either in a class or gathering of some sort. Mars in Libra in your Public Sector working with Mercury in Sagittarius behind the scenes could further indicate that you might meet this individual somewhere you didn’t actually plan on being. Oh, one other thing, there’s also a possibility this person could mysteriously annoy you for some reason. Mr. Saturn would add with a wink, “you might prefer the devil you know, but you’ll only learn from the devil you don’t know.”
Aquarius- With Jupiter and Venus in your House of Career and Public Image smoothly aligning in the element of water with Neptune and a Cancer Moon, your vulnerability should be at an all time high this week. The question is, can you handle that? You are often annoyed when others get emotional, but maybe now that the shoe is on your foot you’ll finally understand the compassion of Buddha? Or maybe Uranus in your House of Communication lining up with Mr. Saturn in your Public Sphere will make you think your usual detachment will be more efficient? The determinant here may be Pluto renovating your Mystical House, for he will not be denied his mission of deep transformation. Perhaps then you should leave being cool to the Eskimos? Mr. Saturn suggests letting go of your whole control thing and instead allow your self be handcuffed to that proverbial bedpost of trust. Maybe you’ll have a whole “Rocky Horror Picture Show” thing go on and love it!
Pisces- Neptune is your ruling planet, so you’d think having it return home to Pisces after 165 years would be a good thing? When it comes to Neptune though there’s really no telling, so maybe now you can understand how the Ancients must have felt when they looked out at the ocean and tried to imagine what was beyond the horizon? Nevertheless, with Venus and Jupiter this week in your sister water sign of Scorpio you could be quite convinced you know exactly what’s out there. Yet as Mercury rolls through your Public House you will face the same dilemma as everyone else who has ever been convinced by their dreams and/or opinions, namely how to turn whatever it is you believe into a real thing? As the Moon finishes up in Virgo over the weekend those convictions of yours could end up turning into a hangover after all that Sufi Wine you’ve been imbibing. I can almost hear Mr. Saturn snickering already, “who do you think you are, Rumi?

From the Introduction
“This book is a love child born from the mingling of the Mystical Traditions of both the West and the East. To illustrate its mixed heritage I have chosen to title this work “Liber Tao,” a pairing of the Latin word Liber or “Book” with the Chinese word Tao or “The Way” whose combined translation, “The Book of the Way,” is a direct reference to the legendary classic of Chinese Mysticism known as the “Tao-Te Ching.
It has been my intention with “Liber Tao” to recreate my own version of the “Tao-Te-Ching.” By “my own version” I do not mean another translation or interpretation of the original masterwork, but rather a brand new effort based on the experiences and insights I have gained while trying to forge my own “Way” in life. In homage to the great Chinese classic I have subsequently organized this current work into the same format and style as the original “Tao-Te-Ching,” namely a collection of 81 entries (none longer than a single page) with each one written in a direct, minimal fashion………….”
“…………..By itself, the term “Tao” represents an idea that is at the center of all Chinese thought. While its most common translation is “ The Way,” conceptually the Tao may also be thought to mean a path, a method, a principle, a doctrine, or even the matrix of universal consciousness. Yet beyond all these possible translations, the Tao is ultimately recognized by the Chinese mind to be the symbolic name for the eternal essence from which all other reality emanates.
Even though it is believed that the true nature of the Tao is beyond human comprehension, ancient Taoists nevertheless endeavored to find traces of the Way in nature, the social world, and also within the individual. As a result, the Chinese feel there is a Tao or Way that represents the purest and most truthful approach to any activity or form of being. The desire to be more in touch with this type of awareness is essentially the driving force behind all evolution, so when the Chinese speak of understanding the Tao, they are essentially referring to the possible bridge that can be forged between our normal daily perceptions and the Intuitive, Divine presence that permeates all life…………”
From the Text
The usefulness of a vessel is not how much it can hold
But rather how much it serves
This distinction is subtle, yet forms the root
Of the difference between fear and courage
Fear wants the vessel to always be full
And will hoard in anticipated need
Courage uses the vessel with impunity
Seeing the cycles of emptiness as the way of life
This dynamic is the root of all creativity
And allows the student to see how letting go
Is the first step to acquiring what is necessary
When small children are brought to cemeteries
They want to run and play between the headstones
Yet they are scolded and told to respect
Something they do not understand
When small children are brought to churches
The candles, shadows, and echoes, seem like a funhouse
Yet they are scolded and told to respect
Something they do not understand
This is how we all get divided from the Tao
Into the illusory world of this and that
Yet there is room in a cemetery for more than death,
After all, a cemetery is maintained by the living
And there is room in a church for more than piety,
After all, a church is a refuge for the wayward in spirit
Therefore, to reunite ourselves with the Tao
We must remember to sometimes forget
All we’ve been taught to understand
When we perceive the world
Without intending to do so
Like a mirror that reflects
Everything it faces
This is called “no mind”
What we think of as “mind”
Is because we discriminate
And what is around us
This is why the mind is always in conflict
With the world in which it exists
Therefore, just as a mirror can be useful
For expanding the sense of a small room
So too can embracing “no mind” be of use
As a doorway beyond our discrimination
And into the Tao
Creativity is how we interact with the unknown
The Tao is how the unknown interacts with us
Thus our consciousness is an alchemical marriage
Of an awareness of form and a formless awareness
When one does not allow this partnership to deteriorate
Through attachment to temporary conditions
This is known as relinquishing the mind
Without abandoning it
The Tao allows for every possibility
Yet the mind seeks perfection
Eternity is endless
Yet the mind searches for conclusions
Birth and death are infinitely recurring
Yet the mind forms a sequence
Being and Non-being require each other
Yet the mind retains a preference
It therefore makes perfect sense
Why museums preserve the brains of famous men in jars
It is a way for us to see
The nature of our limitations
What are the sounds of wind and rain?
Moving in the heavens, the wind is silent,
Only to be heard when it meets resistance
As it shakes the trees
Or fills our ears
Falling from the heavens, rain is also silent,
Only to be heard when it meets resistance
As it hits the roof
With its steady drumming
Both wind and rain come from silence
Yet are known by how they disturb the silence
Likewise, we come to know ourselves
Only by what we do,
Unaware of what we truly are.
Our mind is a flame
And our body is a candle
Yet what remains
When the fire and wax are done?
Such is the essence of the Tao
Weekly Horoscopes for 10/30-11/5, 2017
Hi kids! Welcome once again to Mr. Saturn’s Stars. Halloween arrives this week and the veil between the worlds is a little thinner than usual, so make sure you acknowledge all your loved ones who have moved on to another form in the Universe. Burn something for them that smells good, light a candle, or make a small offering of something they may have liked, but most of all make sure you send your love and remember…
“Each death reminds us
We are arrows and not the
Bow or the Archer”
Aries- You will feel inspired at the beginning of the week with the Moon and Neptune in Pisces providing a little Cosmic Bliss and Universal Love for Halloween. Burn some incense and remind yourself not to sweat the small stuff. The Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury in your House of Sharing and Pluto in your career area mid-week could have you working through the ups and downs of a Pro-mance with a collaborator or partner. Mr. Saturn balancing an opposition of Venus in your House of Relationships with Uranus in your sign will help you work this out, even if this other person does seems to be taking you for granted. The Full Moon over the weekend in Taurus should help your confidence rebound quite nicely due to an unexpected reward you receive that’s the result of an effort you made all by yourself.
Taurus- Dare to dream this week as the veil between the worlds opens for Halloween. Realize that any opportunities coming your way now are the antidote to the insecurities you have been feeling. Don’t be like the sick person who complains when they have to swallow a pill to get better, really! Venus in your House of Work and Mr. Saturn in the House of Legacies won’t tell you to roll up your sleeves and get busy, they’ll simply leave it up to you. The Full Moon over the weekend in your sign should help you toward a meaningful epiphany, like in the movie “Field of Dreams” when the voice in the cornfield tells Kevin Costner, “Build it and they will come…”
Gemini- With the Moon and Neptune in your Public Area to start the week you will be totally caught up in the mystery as well as in the pomp and circumstance of Halloween. Venus in your House of Fun and Uranus in your House of Groups with an Aries Moon will likely mean a crazy party, so you’ll no doubt also be concerned with putting together the perfect costume. It probably won’t be until later in the week with the Sun and Jupiter moving into opposition with a Full Moon in your House of Secrets, that you will probably want to change gears and spent some quality time with a special someone. Mr. Saturn always keeps a wine key in his go bag for exactly that kind of occasion. Cheers!
Cancer- You’re a worrier by nature, which can thoroughly exhaust you much of the time, but this week your “Spidey-Sense” is being stimulated by the mystery of Halloween, so you’ll be right on the money regarding something you’ve been stressed about for a while. Mr. Saturn say’s, “trust your instincts and act on them.” Venus in your House of Home and Family opposing Uranus in the Public Sphere could suddenly bring on that challenge you’ve been anticipating, however, Mr. Saturn in the House of Maintenance will help you find the strength and resources to create an inventive solution. By the weekend when the Taurus Full Moon in your House of Dreams aspects Neptune in your House of Journeys and Jupiter in your Creative sphere, you’ll find you’re ready to face that new adventure, which only a little while ago seemed like it would be the end of the world.
Leo- Some difficult news from home at the beginning of the week could have you waxing sentimental about the past and feeling guilty. Stop it! You’re a fixed sign so the challenge for you is flexibility- not with others, that’s easy, but with your own ideas when they have outlived their usefulness. Between Uranus in your House of Philosophy opposing Venus in your House of Thinking, Mr. Saturn is acting like a fulcrum in your House of Creativity and rocking your world back and forth like Atlas. This is to teach you about equilibrium or “going with the flow,” scary, huh? Over the weekend the Full Moon in Taurus aligning with Pluto will suggest you let go of the past and focus instead on who you will be next. This week’s haiku is for you.
“Regret is fear of
What needs to be done next placed
In the wrong context”
Virgo- Sometimes you feel cornered by the expectations of others, resulting in a need to withdraw or rebel. With the Day of the Dead coming up this week, now would be an ideal time for you to try to understand what drives these feelings and look to give them a symbolic death. The Moon and Neptune in your House of Relationships will have you doubting yourself at the beginning of the week, followed by a Venus-Uranus opposition that will make you want to resist the advice (or perhaps judgment?) of a family member or partner who think they know what’s best for you. The Full Moon in Taurus over the weekend in tandem with Pluto in your House of Creativity should help you in recognizing the pattern of how you first give your power away through lack of confidence and then take it back by rebelling, something Mr. Saturn would refer to as, biting off your nose to spite your face.” Nuff said!
Libra- This week could begin with you feeling totally swept away with the otherworldliness of Halloween, as The Moon and Neptune act like a sedative in your House of Daily Routines. Right afterwards though an Aries Moon opposing Mars in your sign will have you feeling anxious to connect with others and gain approval for something you’ve been working on. Venus and Uranus supervised by Mr. Saturn in your House of Communications midweek will allow you to gain some traction and perhaps see some early yet limited rewards for your efforts. Don’t allow yourself to have too many expectations just yet though, with Pluto in your House of Foundations and the Full Moon in Taurus all Mr. Saturn has to say is “ You can’t rush Mother Nature.”
Scorpio- With all of the Major Planets currently traveling under the radar in your chart, you are totally in synch with the season in that you’re concerned with harvesting your real identity aside from what anyone else may think about you. The Sun in your sign is working with both Neptune and Pluto and requiring you to eliminate whatever isn’t working in your life, while at the same time motivating you to experiment with new approaches in regards to relating with others. When the Moon is Full in Taurus over the weekend it will be the first Major Planet to emerge into public view for you this week, meaning you are on the verge of discovering a sound foundation within yourself. Congrats! Now you’re ready to finally turn the tables on those people in your life who are always taking but never giving back.
Sagittarius- Make sure you don’t drift off and get lost at the beginning of the week when the veil opens up between this world and the spirit world on Halloween. Although with the Moon and Neptune together on Monday, followed by Venus and Uranus having a tug of war afterwards, it will certainly be tough to maintain any gravitas in this world if you insist on letting others distract you from what you know you need to do for yourself. With the Sun and Jupiter behind the scenes in Scorpio this week, Pluto in your House of Self Worth, and Neptune rising like floodwater in the basement of your chart, make sure you throw a lasso over that Taurus Full Moon this weekend so you can pull yourself up out of the rising tide of selfishness that seems to describe too many of the people in your life.
Capricorn- Do the Gods ever speak to you, or, better yet, are you even listening? With Mr. Saturn currently in your House of Confinement the danger is that maybe for practical reasons you have stopped trying to listen to the Universe. It’s certainly forgivable seeing that Uranus at the bottom of your chart has been destroying your foundations like a wildfire for a while now and when the house is burning down who has time for metaphysics? Venus and Mars passing through your Career area could potentially be helped by Mr. Saturn’s practicality, but first you need to regain your inspiration. Early in the week Neptune, the Moon, and Jupiter will give you that uplift by being a positively ethereal string trio (just in time for Halloween) if you’re willing to take the time to hear their mystical, illuminating, and otherworldly music. As the song goes, “You got to pick up every stitch.”
Aquarius- Your ambition is at its height, but don’t confuse that with insight into what’s really going on. Sort of like the difference between dressing up like a super hero for Halloween and actually being one. You want to lead and influence people but are you concerned about what they need or what you need? Neptune and the Moon at the beginning of the week will have you believing whatever you want, however, Mr. Saturn suggests that you may be blind to the forest for the trees. With Mercury unaspected in Scorpio and Uranus in your House of Communication, be careful when speaking to others. Don’t rip someone a new orifice with what you think is the truth without considering what it might be like to walk in his or her shoes. The Full Moon over the weekend may satisfy your ambition, but not without you giving up something. Let’s hope it’s not your humanity.
Pisces- If your finances have been up and down, it doesn’t mean your thoughts about life need to be as well. When Buddhists say, “life is sorrow,” it applies to both the rich and poor, for the sorrow being referred to results from our expectations not being in harmony with the world. This is a basic control issue and with Jupiter and the Sun currently in your House of Philosophy in trine to Neptune, the danger now is that you could be regressing back to infancy in your worldview rather than toward maturity. The Full Moon in your House of Thinking will be in Taurus and it will be in harmonious aspect with Pluto in your House of Dreams. Therefore, Mr. Saturn say’s;
“The person who does not know
Will try to stop the world
So they may hold perfection
The person who knows
Will let the world go
So perfection may hold them”
Below are a pair of excerpts taken from my new book ,”Psychic Reading,” recently published by Rebel Satori Press.
If you are interested in buying a copy of “Psychic Reading” go to the menu and select “Books,” where links are provided to both Amazon and Rebel Satori Press.
From the Introduction…….
The book you are about to read presents the dialogue for a pair of Psychic Readings. While both of these encounters are fictional creations, the material in them is based upon thousands of actual client sessions that I conducted as a Professional Psychic and Astrologer in New York City over a period of more than 17 years.
* * *
What is a Psychic Reading? The act of going to a special individual for spiritual and/or esoteric guidance has existed in one form or another since ancient times and, depending on the cultural setting, could have included activities as varied as making a pilgrimage to the oracle at Delphi in Ancient Greece, consulting a tribal Shaman, or visiting the local Witch on the outskirts of town. Yet regardless of the setting, exactly who are these special people we ask to impart to us their visions and wisdom? In what ways are they different from the rest of us? How do they manage to acquire the insights they are sharing? What does it mean to be Psychic?
The human brain is perhaps the most profound Machine in the Universe, but where do our thoughts come from? We each possess consciousness, but what is our awareness made of? Modern Physiology will tell us that we use only 10% of our brain’s capacity, which would then mean that 90% of our mind’s potential remains dormant within us. If that is the case, then perhaps in the same way that the genetics for an entire tree can exist within a tiny acorn, maybe all the secrets of the universe can also be explained within the untapped portions of the human mind? If this is true, then maybe the Gurus and Psychics we go to for insights are really nothing more than normal people like ourselves who have found a way to activate more than 10% of their innate intelligence? Maybe the late Psychologist and Philosopher Timothy Leary was right when he said, “The Brain is God”?
Clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience, or the abilities to see, hear, or perceive expanded realities and non-ordinary states of being are among the sorts of powers commonly considered Psychic, yet the relative truth of these experiences are extremely difficult to verify, or even comprehend in terms of conventional understanding. To the general public the popular idea of a Psychic is someone dressed up like a gypsy or a witch who predicts the future using Tarot Cards and a crystal ball. However, if one can manage to put such stereotypes aside the actual truth is that real Psychics, while in possession of one or more of the aforementioned abilities, are also often highly trained individuals in an Esoteric/Occult sense who are capable of offering valuable insights and guidance to those who are in psychological or spiritual crisis.
From “The Second Reading” pages 42-46
READER: What do you do?
TOM: I’m a musician.
TOM: Not exactly.
TOM: Well, I’m in a band, but we’re not working right now.
READER: So what do you do to earn a living?
TOM: I’m a bartender.
READER: How’s that going?
TOM: It pays the bills but I’m pretty frustrated with it.
READER: When was the last time your band played a gig?
TOM: About 6 months ago.
READER: Why is that?
TOM: I don’t know, it seems like it’s hard for us to agree on anything.
READER: Are you in a relationship?
TOM: I don’t know.
READER: You don’t know?
TOM: Well, there’s this chick I’ve been seeing… but, I don’t know…
READER: Is there anything right now working out the way you’d like?
READER: What would that be?
TOM: My Spiritual Studies are going well.
READER: Really? What are you studying?
TOM: I’ve been reading about developing my Psychic Abilities, Remote viewing, stuff like that.
READER: Where are you getting your information?
TOM: From an Internet blog by a guy named Beelzebuddy.
READER: Do you find these studies are useful in regards to the other stuff in your life that isn’t working?
TOM: What do you mean?
(The Reader tilts his head like a dog when it’s confused and then reaches over and grabs one of the large books on the table.)
READER: Let’s get to work. What’s your birthday?
TOM: September 1, 1980
(The Reader opens the book and flips through the pages until he finds what he’s looking for. After studying the information in front of him for a few moments he then begins speaking)
READER: Do you know if you were born before or after 12 noon?
TOM: I’m not sure.
READER: All right, don’t guess. Just answer me this…How curious are you, or better yet, how distracted can you get?
TOM: Well, I am interested in a lot of things.
READER: How often do you finish what you start?
TOM: There are some things that I let slide, but then again I can also be pretty responsible….
READER: …..When you have to be, right?
TOM: I guess you could say that.
READER: Have the responsibilities at your job caused you to let your music slide?
TOM: It’s not like I’m obsessed with my job or anything like that. I plan on getting back to playing; it’s just that I’ve gotten really interested in Psychic stuff.
READER: So let me get this straight… you’re working at a job you don’t like, reading about Psychic stuff, and also thinking about getting back to your music?…. I would say you have a Gemini Moon.
TOM: I thought I was a Virgo?
READER: Your Sun is in Virgo, but your Moon is in Gemini. To say you are a Virgo is like saying you’re a man; there were 9 other planets circling in the heavens on the day you were born and each of them represents an archetypal aspect of your character. For instance, Saturn would represent your control issues, Neptune your imagination, the Moon your emotional style, and so on.
(The Reader takes the next few moments to look at the book again before continuing to speak)
You have a Virgo Sun and it squares a Gemini Moon. Both of these signs are ruled by Mercury, which represents communication and information. As a result, you feel an emotional need to have a constantly changing set of circumstances (your Gemini Moon), which you are forever juggling and trying to orchestrate together into some useful pattern (your Virgo Sun).
(Tom leans forward in his seat and stares intently at the reader)
You also have Mars in Scorpio, which is always about power, and that both sextiles your Sun and inconjuncts your Moon. In short these configurations can cause you to oscillate significantly back and forth between ambition and withdrawal, as well as lending a stealth air to how you generally deal with people. In other words, you don’t like people to know what you’re up to and usually keep things on the down low.
TOM: It says all that in the book?
READER: Not necessarily, that’s my interpretation……….any questions?
TOM: Not bad

Hi kids!!! Welcome once again to Mr. Saturn’s Stars. We are now officially in the Witching Season as the Sun enters Scorpio, so rake those leaves, carve those pumpkins, and remember, the trick is to treat your self.
“One can’t learn much and also be comfortable. One can’t learn much and let anybody else be comfortable.” -Charles Fort
Aries- The week begins with the Sun entering Scorpio to join Jupiter, while Mars arrives in Libra to join Venus. As a result, your passions will probably be smoldering for a certain someone like the charcoal in a BBQ pit. In the meantime, Mr. Saturn will be hovering like Harvey Weinstein over the Moon in Sagittarius, so be careful you don’t do something with this special person just because you can. Mercury in Scorpio and Pluto in your House of Career will be advising you to check and make sure if Mr. or Ms. Sexy is really available, or, if you met this person through business these planets might serenade you with a chorus of “Don’t (blah)where you eat;” either way I suggest you listen. Mercury will also be in aspect to Neptune in your House of What’s Hidden, making it easy for you to believe no one is noticing how your libido is up. Stop kidding yourself. Everybody notices, but so what? Just be careful.
Taurus- Your attitude toward life is changing, are you willing to change as well? Anger about betrayals and disappointments from the past has been sabotaging you and you’re beginning to realize this every time you look in the mirror. You have unwittingly let the dark memories you have of certain people turn into darkness for yourself. With Venus and Mars in your House of Health and Routines it’s time for you to get off the couch and rediscover the youth you have left. With a little effort you can regain the enthusiasm and creativity that once made you so magnetic. With Uranus in your House of Confinement working with Mr. Saturn in your House of Legacies, you need to find a creative outlet! When the Moon crosses your Mid-heaven over the weekend be sure you make time for something you once loved to do. It doesn’t matter where this activity may lead, it only matters that you are allowing yourself to have fun again. Even Mr. Saturn is willing to sing along!
Gemini- Every relationship we enter into goes through stages. What makes an old friend or a long time partner so important is that our connections with them become the living proof that love can survive. With Venus and Mars in your House of Romance squaring Pluto, you’re finding yourself struggling with believing that love has already found you and it’s not going anywhere. On the work front you need to stop letting someone else’s agenda cramp your style. You have the ideas, the energy, but most of all the respect of those in control. If a younger person is causing you any difficulties don’t buy into their attempts at emotional manipulation; keep your cool!
Cancer- The way you relate to others has been changing for a while, but it’s only just now that you’re fully realizing it. Rather than continuing to take responsibility for other people’s emotions, you’re instead doing what you can and then letting it go. At first you felt guilty about this, but now you understand what Mr. Saturn has been trying to tell you all along, namely that “doing something for someone else they should be doing for themselves ultimately denies them a better lesson.” Amen. Now that you realize you have all this newly freed up emotional disc space, you’re also discovering you have a lot more creative energy. So what are you waiting for? Start investing more time in your heart’s desire and see what the Universe rewards you with! This week’s Haiku is for you.
“If I seek knowledge
Perhaps it’s there, if it finds
Me the truth is here”
Leo- With Jupiter and Mercury in your House of Foundations angling Pluto, as well as Venus and Mars in your House of Communication squaring Pluto, the boundaries you have established between yourself and others will seem more apparent now than ever before. There is a wall up, but it’s not because you’re insensitive, in fact, it’s just the opposite, as you are far more sensitive than most people realize. Of course this makes you a favorite with kids and dogs, so why don’t you try to open up a little and perhaps volunteer at a youth center or an animal shelter? Unlike Jack Nicholson in “As Good As It Gets,” you won’t need any bacon in your pocket to be the one that everyone wants to go home with. Even Mr. Saturn is saying, Awwww…<3
Virgo- As Venus and Mars transit your House of Earned Income and square Pluto in your House of Fun and Creativity, you might be feeling the need to break out for a little enjoyment and howl at the moon. Of course the frugal part of you will automatically come up with reasons not to, but look at it this way, money is for spending and with Venus and Mars where they are you’re earning more than you need, so why not splurge? The Sun and Jupiter working with Neptune in your House of Relationships may also have you feeling more amorous than usual, so why not take that special someone along with you to go out and howl at the moon? Mr. Saturn say’s, “Aaaah Oooooh, Werewolves of London, Aaaaah Ooooooh!”
Libra- Pluto at the bottom of your chart is squaring both Venus and Mars in your sign as well as nudging Mercury and Jupiter in your House of Self Worth, which all together should have you thoroughly stoked up to show the world exactly what you got. Saturn in the House of Communication and Uranus in your partnership area would indicate an opportunity based on someone reaching out to you unexpectedly, or perhaps you’ll receive a response to a shot in the dark you took a while ago and just forgot about? The arc of the Moon during the week will have you ready to take some specific steps toward transforming your current circumstances and opening up some new creative and professional possibilities. With a cool and confident air, Mr. Saturn would simply say, “If not now, when? If not here, where?”
Scorpio- With Mercury in your sign aligning with both Pluto in the House of Communication and Neptune in the House of Creativity, you are on the verge of a true awakening. Mr. Saturn and Uranus are further supporting this epiphany as they act respectively in your chart like the driver and the sphinxes in the Chariot Card of the Tarot, causing you to come to the revolutionary realization that luck is who you are, not what you do. This is nothing short of a true moment of enlightenment as Venus and Mars dance in celebration together like Yin and Yang in your House of Hidden Secrets and Mystical Union. Enjoy this while it lasts, for sooner or later Mr. Saturn will turn on the lights and start singing, “Closing time, every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.”
Sagittarius- You’re feeling it, so why aren’t you doing it? Jupiter and Mercury in your House of the Subconscious and Pluto in your House of Self Worth have become an itch you must scratch. Add to that Neptune in your House of Foundations and you’ll discover that you have stumbled upon one of those rare moments in life when you can see into the workings of your mind and clearly realize that guilt is a useless emotion, so why bother? Venus and Mars together in your House of Dreams are opposing Uranus in your creative sphere, egging you on like the Prince song “Let’s Go Crazy” at maximum volume. At a moment like this Mr. Saturn would usually tell you to turn it down, but instead he’s saying, “Forget that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know, Dr. Everything’ll be Alright”…. “It’s up to you to make it alright so what are you waiting for!”
Capricorn- Most of the major planets are in the public half of your chart so it’s important for you to be out there and interacting with others. Venus and Mars in your House of Career will provide the eloquence and Mercury and Jupiter in your House of Groups will provide the substance, so share your interest and excitement involving the things that matter to you. What’s hidden in the private half of your chart this week will be the Moon, Neptune, and Uranus, so try not to be derailed by your anxieties, instead use them as examples to help you connect with those who can benefit from your honesty and compassion. Mr. Saturn say’s, “don’t be a rump, offer those condolences and give something of yourself.”
Aquarius- With Saturn and the Moon in your House of Groups aligning with Uranus in your House of Communication early in the week, you could find yourself having to deliver a lecture or perform in front of an audience. If that’s the case, stick to the script and save your proselytizing for another time. Mercury and Jupiter in your House of Career aligning with Neptune, plus Pluto behind the scenes with the Moon mid-week, could cause you to make a Freudian slip you might need a stuntman for, so be careful. As a word of advice, Mr. Saturn would like to quote from one of his favorite TV shows, “Just the facts, Ma’am, just the facts.”
Pisces- If you are on the verge of making an important decision it would be good to seek some advice this week, just be sure you’re prepared to listen and seriously consider what a more experienced person has to say, even if it disagrees with what you have convinced yourself of. Especially since Saturn in your House of Career working with Uranus in Aries has you struggling with nailing down a definite plan right now. In addition, Jupiter and Mercury together in Scorpio aligning with Pluto probably has you believing that you know everything, though if that’s the case then you can’t possibly learn anything else without it resulting in you being up the creek without a paddle. Of course Mr. Saturn is willing to let you find out the hard way, and as the song goes, “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try, sometimes, you get what you need.”
I am standing with a bunch of men in a double line and we are all dressed in gray fatigues. It is a long hallway and the prison cells situated on both sides resemble small caves under the dim, overhead lighting. A guard passes me and on his command we all start walking. I think for a moment that perhaps I’m dreaming, but I am conscious of breathing and the sinking sensation in my stomach forces me to acknowledge the truth of the situation. I am going to be locked up in this place for the next 2 years. As I focus on walking to try and get the blood flowing in the early morning cold, the unexpected sound of an alarm going off somewhere reverberates throughout the long corridor…
There is music playing and someone is nudging me. I respond with a sleepy grunt and then hear the voice of my wife asking me something. I drift off again and suddenly her voice is much louder. “Give me my phone.” I look over and see both of our phones charging together on the night table. I unplug hers and hand it over while the musical alarm continues playing. Once she turns off the phone, I close my eyes and think to myself, was I dreaming of being in prison or am I dreaming now about being in bed with my wife? Everything in the jail seemed so real that I’m surprised I woke up here. For the next few minutes I simply lay still and think back over the last several years of my life, nervously trying to remember exactly when I was married or if I was ever in jail.
Later that day I shared my dream with a friend. “It was disturbing how real it felt,” I told her. “In fact, when I woke up I was compelled to try and account for the last 10 years of my life just to prove to myself I was never in jail.”
“That’s very weird,” she replied.“
“Do you think it’s possible that you might have tapped into someone else’s thoughts?”
“Who?” I asked.
She took a drag on her cigarette and said, “I don’t know. Can you think of anyone you’re connected to who’s been in jail?”
We stood there in silence for a few seconds and then she suddenly announced, “how about Timothy Leary?
“Are you kidding?”
“Why not?” she say’s. “You did a lot of acid in your younger days so you’re tapped into that wavelength. You’re also a fan of both Aleister Crowley and Robert Anton Wilson, and Leary admired Crowley and was friends with Wilson. Shit, you’re a professional Psychic.”
“Yeah, but I know next to nothing about Timothy Leary…besides, he’s dead.”
“Listen, this is a metaphysical argument I don’t want to engage in, although I do personally believe our thought forms can continue to exist in other realms of consciousness after the body dies.”
“Like for instance another person’s dreamtime?” she said.
The next day I began research into the life and work of the late Dr. Timothy Leary. Perhaps I would be able to uncover something about him that would offer a clue to finding out if I had actually shared another person’s consciousness or if instead I had just experienced a very imaginative dream? It turned out that it wasn’t long before I was able to uncover some interesting coincidences.
The first one was on You Tube and came in the form of an old song by The Moody Blues entitled, “Legend of a Mind (Timothy Leary’s Dead)”. I had never heard of this song before, though needless to say its subtitle did manage to strike a significant chord within me after the suggestion my friend had made.
The next discovery was also on You Tube and consisted of a 27-minute interview with Leary that was filmed when he was an inmate at Folsom Prison in 1973. This is truly an amazing document in that during the interview he seems a lot happier and calmer than many of the people you would encounter walking free on the streets. As I watched him I found myself saying aloud to the computer screen, “My God, what courage this man had. I wonder if he initially was as scared as I was in there?” Wait a minute, what did I just say?
The last thing I found turned out to be the sort of coincidence I was hoping to find, even though it had nothing to do with my dream. It turns out that Timothy Leary wrote a book in 1965 entitled, “Psychedelic Prayers.” It was a small volume consisting of 55 poems about his LSD experiences that was organized in the same format as the Chinese mystical classic known as the “Tao-Te Ching.” This was particularly shocking to me because my fourth book released in 2015 (exactly 50 years after Leary’s work) was also modeled after the Tao-Te Ching. The title of my book is “Liber Tao” and it contains 81 poems based on my insights as a Professional Psychic Counselor in NYC. The synchronicity of the two of us writing pretty much the same kind of book without my having any foreknowledge of his effort is quite remarkable, or is it? Did it happen merely because our minds were alike in some way, or did I actually share a moment in his mind?
In the days and months since my strange dream I have had a lot of time to reflect on the pros and cons of whether or not Timothy Leary and I could have transcended the normal parameters of time and space (as well as life and death) in order to share a period of unified consciousness. Though I am trying to remain open-minded and not dismiss the possibility of such an occurrence, for the life of me I can’t rationalize why such a thing would happen. Then again didn’t Shakespeare say, “there are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Yet why would a Cultural hero and a famous Philosopher like Leary, who’s ideas are still circulating 20 years after his death, need to connect with someone like myself? Is it just because I’m Psychic? Even though a psychic connection would be entirely possible (centuries of Mystical Literature would support that much) what would be the reason for Timothy Leary and I to share thoughts? He certainly doesn’t need me to be his spokesperson and I could read any of his books anytime I want.
It may also be I’m over dramatizing this and my experience wasn’t all that unusual. Perhaps everyone has the Universal Mind occasionally barge in on his or her little world and it’s no big deal, just a cosmic hiccup to be eventually misunderstood or forgotten altogether; unless of course enlightenment is in the cards for one of the involved parties? Now I certainly wouldn’t assume that any potential enlightenment would have necessarily been just for me because Mr. Leary is dead. Without getting into a serious Quantum debate, I certainly concede the possibility that Timothy Leary could very well be just as real wherever he is as I am right here and now. On the other hand, it may not even really be about a man once known as Timothy Leary or a “long-legged leaping gnome like myself” (as the song lyric goes). Perhaps this glitch in the Matrix I experienced is really hinting at a much bigger connection, infinitely bigger; like for example, God… Existence… Tao?
As Dr. Leary would say, “The Universe is an intelligence test” and “Your brain is God.”
